So far, the version I run uses Mental Block over magnetic aura. Personally, i like that Mental Block has better longevity. I also replaced Grasping Earth with Radiation Field to see how that worked. SoI Radiation field does -6 degen and disease (-4 degen) for 20 seconds. So far, I like it more for the raptors that try to spread out, but can't heal due to health degen. Grasping earth seems better for preventing them from running away at first, but slows down once sliver is on downtime. Radiation Field tends to have more killing power down the stretch, especially when its a small group of raptors remaining.

Yup, Mental Block is good, just that not everyone has the asuran skills... Like I don't for my mesmer I just ran him there to test it out. Also, if you want to speed things up and take out grasping earth, you can take Arcane Echo to keep sliver up longer with less down time.

Good thing about EoTN is you can run to any of the towns. Can either have someone run you there, or run with heros and henches. Just set up acouple warriors or paras with Charge! and Fall Back! Or you can Echo Shadow Form with a Mesmer and run there yourself.

Hello there, first posting in this forum. My main chars are mesmer and I am now using one to farm based on your build.
I confront the following problem: Everything works great up to Boss arrival. From the moment he is part of the group at me, my health decreases high speed and I die, that although I do cast fresh everything before to aggro him.
What do I do wrong?
Thanks in advance for help and sorry also for my english (I am french).
**** Edited for update *****
In your combo, I have replaced Grasping Earth by Inferno (fire magic). With the 16 Attribute Points in Illusion Magic, it deals 155 damage at once! And its recharge time is rapid enough, so that you can alternate with Sliver Armor. With inferno, I have time to kill the boss although my health decreases high speed. But for the boss killing, I get it in normal mode only. In hard mode, i still do not achieve to kill it.

Grasping Earth is mean't to help speed up the killing by slowing down enemies, that way sliver will do enough damage to kill them off before they get out of its range. Grasping Earth can be replaced with anything you would like, such as AoS or Mental Block. I also don't recommend using AoE damage spells like Inferno while using Sliver in HM, it will make the enemies flee, and it can slow down your run...
For the boss, make sure you wait to cast sliver until just before he starts attacking you (after pulling all raptors in cave). Best thing to do is, as soon as you aggro the boss mob, target the boss before using Sliver, and attack him with staff or wand to keep him from running away. Quicker you kill him, the better your chances of staying alive... It is fairly easy to do this, and can be done every time without getting killed. You shouldn't need any heals, but if you are still having trouble, you can try replacing Grasping Earth with [Ether Feast] or even better, use [Illusion of Weakness]. Just cast Illusion of Weakness upon entering the area, and will be no need to renew it after it triggers. Illusion of Weakness is a fail safe type of heal, it will heal you when your health drops below 25%, so no need to worry about casting any heals...
Also, make sure to always refresh Sig of Illusions before casting any spells, but im sure you know that

try the 24/7 sliver version Torrent i slightly modified the original build that was used for raptor farming to speed it up a bit.
Switched etherfeast for EbsoH and switched the blocking with the skill from the asuran
Stoneflesh aura; Armor of Earth (or have a shield with a +45 while enchanted mod and recieve physical damage -2 while enchanted); Glyph of renewal [E]; Sliver Armor; Ebsoh(R3 is enough); Mental block (i suggest atleast R5); Channeling; Mantra of resolve
16 earth; 9 e-storage; 9 inspiration magic
And rezzdog sorry for hacking you're thread

My version with VIDEO
[MeE Raptors HM;OQZEAYwDmHJUVK8VBXmLyDZCEBA ]
tbh its exactly the same as my current Ele version, only i swapped out radiation field for signet of illusions and tweaked the attributes, with a little earth in there as back up (so long as Illusion is maxed and you have enough Insp for MoR the rest don't matter)

Not sure if this was posted, but at any rate, you dont need armor of earth to slow you down, stoneflesh is plenty. Blessed insignias on all 5 pieces with sup Illusion on head and sup vigor on chest with attunements on the rest.
A standard caster spear, sword, axe etc with +5 energy, 20% ench, A Shield with -2 while ench and +45 while ench takes the edge off of twisting jaws from the broodmother.
Heres the code and enjoy

Why are you guys not using Mist Form?
I'm at work, so this is off the top of my head:
12 Earth Magic, 5 Inspiration, 10 Water Magic, rest Fast Cast
[Mantra of Resolve] - Prevents interruption
[Channeling] - Make up for energy lost from Mantra of Resolve]
[Glyph of Elemental Power] - Boost Damage
[Armor of Mist] - Running Skill
Cast 1-2-3-4 at cave entrance and run through and aggro everyone. You CAN take damage so try to avoid getting caught. Aggro the Broodmother...
[Mist Form] - Blocks ALL damage except for Broodmother's Twisting Jaws skills
[Sliver Armor] - What kills things
[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] - Boosts damage
[By Ural's Hammer!] - Boosts damage
Cast all these in order. Broodmother going down will recharge your skills. Recast Channeling and Glyph of Elemental Power for the hell of it. Recast the 2nd half of your bar as they blink out. Two waves of sliver armor should take out about 30 raptor nestlings and the broodmother. Don't sweat getting the last two. Just zone out and repeat. You can also use the skill [Intensity] of you are missing one of the damage boosters.
Also, don't waste time looking for leechers and doormen, that is really dumb. Just walk out into Riven Earth, walk back into Rata Sum, walk back out to Riven Earth again. Now whenever you /resign, you will be right next to the gate. The build works even better with an elementalist (sub [Magnetic Aura] for [Glyph of Elemental Power] since lack of fast casting makes interrupts more of an issue).
That's what I usually do. If you have a real hard on for killing those last few stragglers or if your lack of damage boosters doesn't even get you over 25 kills, just stick [Air of Superiority] somewhere in there for extra skill recharges.
